Gumtree Seller Guide

By now I am sure you all know what Gumtree is, right? I should hope so!

Gumtree has just launched a new guide, which helps you post better ads, and therefore get better offers! 

The guide breaks down the ad, from Title to Description, and gives you tips and tricks to getting the most out of your ad.

Let's start from the top:

Title: Wedge Heels OR Nude Patent Wedge Heels from Urban Zone Size 4.

The guide suggests your title should be between 50-70 characters, and should include all the need to knows. Wedge Heels is simply not good enough.

Photos: Ads with good photos get more replies, which is really obvious. People want to see what they are buying, duh! Gumtree suggests 3 high quality photos.

Categories and Extra Fields: Correctly categorising your item will help people browsing the site find your ad. Fill out the Extra Fields too, this helps buyers sort, and find your ad.

Description: Include popular words that people are currently searching for, you can find these words with Gumtree's Easy Keyword Generator at the bottom of the guide. Provide all the relevant details, and most importantly, be honest.
