Happy Wedgeday Ladies!

Today feels like a Tuesday and a Friday all in one!

Monday was a public holiday, and so is tomorrow! Yippee!

As I said in one of my previous wedge posts, I am trying to get through all my summer wedges, before winter hits us with full force.

So, here is a summer wedge I bought from Legit. I like the pink and brown combo, and it is really comfy! I would wear this with a summer dress. I think I have worn this wedge once, last summer, and unfortunately not this summer... Sigh!

I had quite a productive afternoon, as you can see. I moved all my heeled sandals to my spare room, and moved my heeled boots into my shoe closet. That is the reason this post is late. :)

Have a lovely day, and have a lovely public holiday for all those in SA!

Shoesday and Circle Bar!

Happy Shoesday Ladies!

It feels like a Monday, since yesterday was a holiday here in SA.

The public holidays are slowly and surely running out, guess it is time to get back into work mode... Well after Thursday... and next Wednesday :)

On Friday night my BF and I went to Circle Bar in Rosebank. It is now officially winter, so out come the boots and coats! I love these boots of mine, they are so comfy, even though they are quite high.

Circle Bar is quite cool, I love the seating areas surrounded by strings of beads. The other lounge areas are quite impressive too. I am loving that long couch in the last picture, actually I love that whole area... I need that in my house one day!

Have you been here before?

Mani Monday with Essence and Essie

For this mani I used Essence Nail Candies in Peachy Keen, Essie in Exotic Liras and the purple Cali Girl nail art pen.

I started with two coats of Nail Candies, which is very sheer, but has 6 benefits, which you can read about HERE

I would use this polish as a base coat in future, since it is really sheer.

I then went dotty crazy with the other two polishes. Below is before I added the purple dots. If the Essence polish wasn't so sheer I think it would look way better.

Happy Monday Ladies, and have a good week!

Milk Solutions... Yummy Products!

Milk Solutions is a fully comprehensive, upmarket range of treatment products, designed with the professional manicurist’s and pedicurist’s requirements in mind. The products will enhance your customer’s treatment experience, whilst offering superior, yet surprisingly affordable results. Milk Solutions also has a full homecare range to ensure continuity at home.

I am so glad they have an at home range, because these products are awesome! I was sent a sugar scrub and foam bath from the Fruit Range, and a massage candle from the Milk and Honey Range.

The sugar scrub is described as delicately fragranced and rich in hyaluronic acid to gently exfoliate the body. I love sugar scrubs, especially in winter! I like to apply it to dry skin, scrub, and then rinse off, and moisurise or oil up. The scent is amazing and fresh, and I would love to try the whole range. For R200 you get a big tub, which is sure to last you a while. There are two scents, Soya Milk and Quince, which I have, and Grapefruit and Pomegranate, which I am sure will smell equally lovely.

Next up is the foam bath, which is moisturising to nourish and balance the skin. And who doesn't like to relax in a hot bath in this dreary weather! The foam bath also comes in two scents, and I am loving the soya milk and quince! It is R88 for this foam bath. What I love is you only need 10ml, compared to glugs and glugs of some others that I have used. I am not exactly sure what glugs means, but in my mind it is the sound when you pour it out the bottle. :)

Lastly, the massage candle. I love love love the scent, it smells like faint beeswax and honey and everything yummy. It is a soya based massage candle, with a relaxing rooibos and honey fragrance. It is extremely moistuising, and I love that it is warm already by the time you apply it. Just light the candle, let it melt, and massage onto skin. Even better, get your other half to massage you! This is a decent sized candle for only R200, and you don't need to use much at all.

Check out their website HERE for stockists!

Have a good long weekend to all in South Africa!

Fancying Friday with Hannon Makeup

Hannon is best known for amazing haircare, but guess what, they have make up too!

These two products look amazing, and would brighten up any winters day.

First up, Sun Kiss Blusher –R175

This blush with its unique two-colour blend is the perfect compliment to most skin shades. Simply mix the two colours with your make-up brush and apply gently on your cheeks, chin and eyes. If you can’t get to a Caribbean beach, the Caribbean sun can now come to you. Enjoy the compliments, Your Highness the Sun goddess!

Next up, the Brazilian Tan Blusher – R175

In the typical duo blusher style, Hannon brings you the most exotic, deep bronzing blusher. If you have fantasies of white sunny beaches filled with dark tanned bodies having summer fun, then consider this blush. Simply mix the two colours with your blusher brush and apply gently on your cheeks, chin and eyes. This is a great pick-me-up colour for the exotic at heart. This seductive and sensual colour can be used as an everyday blusher and is a must have for evenings.

Floral Wedgeday

Happy Wedgeday Ladies

Today feels like Tuesday to me, since Monday was a public holiday. Regardless, it is in fact Wedgeday, so let's get going.

This wedge is from Legit. It is extremely comfortable and stable. I love the combination of black straps and a floral heel. I think I have worn this wedge once or twice.

Mani Monday with Ben and Cherries!

Happy Monday Ladies!

It is a public holiday today in SA, so no blue Monday here!

For today's mani I used Essence in Ben and Cherries, from the Me and My Ice-Cream range. I absolutely love this range, three coats gives an amazing smooth finish!

I then used three different glitters for the gradient.

I used Sinful Colors in Charmed
Essence in Glitz and Glam
and Essence in Glitter on Me

Have you tried this range from Essence?

Fancying Friday with @27Pinkx!

27Pinkx has grown leaps and bounds recently, and I know why!

Just look at my wishlist below and you will know too!

Look at this stunning palette, the pigment looks amazing! This blush, higlighter and bronzer is R460, and is at the top of my wishlist!

Next up is this organiser. This is the mini, and is R1200, I am so after one of these! How chic does this make any dressing table look?

Lastly are these lovely pink brushes. This is R420 for the set. I love this, because they are all matching and pink, obviously!

The 27Pinkx ladies recently had a press launch in JHB, as well as some pop up stores, and I couldn't make any! So sad, I had serious FOMO!

Have a look at their website HERE, and let me know what is on your wishlist!

Wedgeday is here!

I am hoping to get through most of my summer wedges before I completely freeze my toes off.

The weather is getting colder and colder, and I have already switched from my summer to my winter closet.
I am not a fan of winter, I am more of a spring person, not too hot, not too cold.

Anyhow, today's wedge is from Mr Price, I love myself some bargains. I have worn it once I think, not sure when or where. They aren't very comfortably, but I love the style and colour. I would wear them with a dress or a pair of dark jeans, and for an ocassion that I don't have to be on my feet much!

This week, and month is really short for us in SA, there are a gazillion public holidays. So, this is a short week again, Friday is a holiday, yay!

Enjoy the rest of the week ladies!

April Rubybox Unboxed

I was slightly disappointed with this months box, especially since the last few have been amazing! I did however get my box on the 7th, which is fantastic!

I got a Rubybox Nail Polish in a french pink, I have wanted to try their polishes for a while.
Two Loreal Revitalift sachets
Incanto Bloom perfume sample, I think I have enough of these to make a full bottle :)
And Salvatore Ferragamo bath and shower gel, which I already have two of, but is a great product.

The Ruby Raves is a new addition to the box, well, I saw it the last two months I think. It is a product that has been in the box before, and that people have loved, and so it has been included again.

I think the total value of the box may have just made R120, but it might be less.

I am not pleased and not displeased, let's say indifferent!

Mani monday and a haul!

Happy Monday Ladies!

I finally got my hands on the Me and My Ice-cream range from Essence! I also got a few other goodies, which I am hoping to review soon. The range is exclusive to Clicks, and full of yummy smelling pastel shades, from blush, lip balm, hand wipes, eye shadows, nail art goodies and of course nail polish.

I bought all four polishes, I just couldn't resist, and I used three of them in this manicure. I used the peach, which is called Icylicious, the mint which is called Always in My Mint and the lilac called Ice Ice Baby. I used Revlon's Gold Coin for the accent nail, and my thumb.

I am absolutely in love with these pastel shades. They are a bit streaky to begin with, but from the second and third coat, application is smooth.

I have used the lip balms too, so moisturising and they smell soooo goood!

I also bought some new Garnier products, which look promising. The new Sorbet at home spa range which smells like the ocean. And two scents from The Body Shop, and the cleansing butter, which I am loving! And my new Lola Bunny sweater!

Fancying Friday, Benefit, Sephora and Bath and Body Works

Today's post is a bit different than the usual Fancying Friday post.

My boyfriend recently went on a business trip, and  came back with some goodies for me! A boyfriend who wanders around Sephora out of love is a keeper!

The best part is that none of these are available in SA! I really wish we had a Sephora here!

I try not to do a wishlist of products that aren't easily come by in SA, well at least not with outrageous shipping and custom fees.

So, this is Fancying Friday, and these can be ticked off my list, before it was even on my list :)

Everything came beautifully wrapped, and I didn't even want to open them up, but curiosity got the best of me, so I ripped them open!

I got an amazing warm vanilla sugar lotion from Bath and Body Works, it smells amazing, like a bakery.
A Benefit highlighter, What's Up. I love Benefit products!
A body balm from Benefit which smells amazing called Bathina
A collection of four Sephora brushes, blush/powder, foundation, eyeshadow and smudge brushes, in a travel case
A dry shampoo from Sephora. (My boyfriend said he got me this because he knows how lazy I am to wash my hair, HAHA!)
A sun disk, limited edition bronzer from Sephora
A gorgeous peach lip product from Sephora
and the upside down mascara from Sephora too (I am super excited to try this!)

Dermalogica and Sorbet teen supreme event!

Dermalogica and Sorbet held a teen supreme event to launch the new Clear Start range from Dermalogica.

Moms and teens were the focus of the day, as well as clear skin of course!

Guests were treated to face mapping, as well as facial treatments and massages.

There was also a healthy skin presentation, with some great tips.

The best tip was that we should be exfoliating 2-3 times per week, and we should use a face mask every time we exfoliate. Who knew!

Gert Johan Coetzee was also on hand to give us some information about makeup, nails, hair and fashion trends.

We were also treated to a fashion show! Doesn't Thando look amazing in that pink dress?

I am loving this dress on Penelope!

We received a goodie bag with an amazing hand and nail cream and an emergency spot fix from the new Clear Start range.

As well as a blowdry voucher from Sorbet!

It is always fun to be invited to events to learn about new products and meet fellow bloggers!

I recently ordered this Beau Voyage Box from Rubybox.

I wish they weren't sold out, I would really like another one.

It was totally worth the R140!

There is conditioner and a heat protect spray from Tresemme.
Yves Rocher cleansing milk and micellar water
Beauscience lotion and shower gel
Bee Natural lip balm
African Extracts wipes
Incanto Bloom sample perfume
Loreal face cream sample
Ahava mineral hand cream(this sample is bigger than usual)

Happy Wedgeday!

It is Wedgeday again ladies!

I love this pair of wedges from Zoom! I love the colour, as well as the heel. I think it makes the shoe look even higher, and your legs look even longer, which is needed for me with my short legs!

I have never worn this wedge before, sigh... I think I need to this weekend!

I think for this wedge it is nice to show a bit of leg, to emphasise the heel. Or else a pair of skinnies. As you can tell I love skinnies! I love teal with grey, and with nudes.

Oh, and my boyfriend is back, yay!

Mani Monday with Essence and Sinful Colors

Happy Monday Ladies!

I can't wait for today to end, my boyfriend has been away on a business trip overseas, and will be coming home tomorrow! Happy Days!

So, the sooner today ends, the sooner he will be home!

For this mani I used Iced Strawberry Cream from Essence as a base, and one coat of Full Spectrum by Sinful Colors. I love Full Spectrum, it is part of their Glitz and Glittered range, which is available at Clicks, and is amazing! It looks great over any base! I like that just one coat is enough, and you don't have to dip and re-dip to pick up glitter pieces.

It looks a bit pinker in real life, since the Essence base is a light pink.

Have a lovely week!

Fancying Friday with Essie!

Essie For the Twill of it! I have been after this polish for a while, and it is finally available in SA, as part of the Fall 2013 collection. For the Twill of it is the bigger bottle on the right. Isn't it stunning?

Essie Set in Stones. This polish is a disco ball on your nails. I have seen it at Dischem, and I love it!

What do you fancy this Friday?

Tribal Wedgeday!

Wedgeday is always exciting because it means just two more days left before the weekend!

I bought this wedge probably a year ago or more, from Mr Price. I think I have worn it once, but I am not sure.

With a statement wedge like this, it is best to keep everything else minimal. I would wear this with a black flowy maxi dress, a la Rachel Zoe, or with skinny jeans and a crisp white shirt.

Hope you all had a lovely day!
