Fancying Friday with REN!

Happy Friday Ladies!

My skin has been all sorts of crazy recently, between breakouts and dry flaky skin, I do not know what to do anymore! I am hoping I can blame it all on global warming, or at least on this erratic weather!

The dry skin range from REN looks amazing and is at the top of my list to get my skin under control again.

Ultra Moisture Day Cream

A replenishing complex that leaves dry skin soothed, optimally hydrated and looking beautifully healthy.

Rose O¹² Moisture Defence Serum

An ultra-moisturising oil formulated to give dry and dehydrated skin a powerful shield to lock in moisture and restore glowing softness, comfort and radiance.

Max Moisture Concentrate

A concentrate formulated to dramatically hydrate and replenish the skin leaving it visibly plumped, smoothed and comfortable.

And now for the star product! Life is getting busier and busier, and as much as I try to squeeze in time to treat my skin to a mask once a week, I mostly fail. Enter the 1 minute facial!

A transforming treatment that instantly revitalizes and visibly rejuvenates the skin. Formulated with potent, water-activated Vitamin C it neutralizes urban grey in a flash to leave skin looking firm, toned and smoothed while reducing signs of fatigue, photo-ageing and skin imperfections. Skin instantly glows with renewed health and radiance.

Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial

How amazing is this? Now there is no excuse to neglecting your skin!

Getting Organised!

Hi Ladies

I finally bought myself an organiser, and I realised, I have way too many products! (As if I didn't know that already) I am totally grateful for all that I have, both what I have been given, and what I have bought, and I do work hard to buy all these pretty things :)

I bought this four tier organiser, it has three drawers, and a hinged top. I find the top compartment a bit useless, since I like to have my other organiser on top of it, it becomes a mission to get anything out. So, I put extras of things I have in there, like nail buffers, eyelash curlers, etc as well as things I don't use often, such as fake lashes.

In my smaller organisers I have lip and eye products that I use mostly everyday.

In the top drawer I have my most used blushes, highlighters, powders and bronzers.

In the next drawer I have primers, who knows why I have so many, the search for perfect looking skin maybe? And that Illamasqua highlighter shouldn't be there!

Lastly are my foundations and BB/CC Creams.

And now for the problem... I am a hoarder of sorts, and have tons of products that I stash away and only use now and again, when I remember I have them. And I have no space for them in my new organiser!

As you can tell I love eye liners!

And I love lip goodies even more!

And face goodies are probably on par with the lippies!

So, I have no place in my organiser to put all of these products, and I find that if I don't see something, I don't use it. Which is a problem!

I challenge myself to shop my stash once a week, instead of shopping at actual shops, I am sure I will rediscover some gems along the way!

How do you organise your beauty products?

Neon Striped Mani Monday

Happy Monday Ladies!

I did this mani last week sometime, and had not shared it on my blog, so here it is.

I was away this weekend, so I did not do my nails, and I am sick too! I wish winter could just end!

I used Sinful in 'Snow me White' as the base, which is a really good and affordable white polish.

I used a thin nail art brush to make lines, using different neon colours.

Keep a look out tomorrow for the first Shoesday!

El Cheapo Highlight and Contour kit!

I love a great bargain, and I love to share my finds with you on my page HERE. Usually my bargains are specials or sales, but today I have two amazing products for you that are just CHEAP!

These contour sets are from Dischem, and are only R50 each, they are from the Beauty Treats Brand! The palette on the left is the peach glow, which has warmer undertones, and the one on the right is the pink, which has cooler undertones.

I have used the peach so far, and I loved it! The highlighter is great, and isn't too shimmery, it just gives skin a radiant glow. The blush gives cheeks a flushed look, and isn't that bright cheap clown pink. The contour is the perfect matte powder, and blends well.

All in all, I am really happy with these two palettes, and I am even considering getting some extras to stash away for when these are finished!

Fancying Friday with Essence and Catrice and a haul!

Catrice and Essence new release ALERT!

Catrice- Check and Tweed Range

Highlighting Powder

How pretty is this highlighter! The two tones look great, and would give a lovely healthy glow!

Quattro Baked Eyeshadow

I am in love with the packaging! I am not much of an eyeshadow person, but these natural colours look perfect.

Essence- Party Look Makeup Box

This face in a box palette is so cute, and contains everything you need for a night out. Eight eyeshadows, blush, highlighter and two lipglosses! Yes please!

Essence- Hello Autumn

Eyeshadow Palette

Well, we are entering Spring here in SA, but these natural colours are perfect all year round. I hardly wear eyeshadow, and when I do, it need to be nudes and naturals. So, these palettes look like a perfect match for me.

Colour adapting powder blush

The innovative powder blush reacts to the individual pH-value
of your skin and turns into a fresh pink upon application. The version in
beige also contains fine shimmer pigments for a natural glow. Sounds heavenly to me!

Multi colour powder

Golden leaves… the multi colour powder combines four gold and brown
shades to give your face and neckline a beautiful shimmer. The pretty
leaf embossment on the surface of the texture makes the powder
absolutely unique. I need this, even if it is just to look at!

So, work has been really hectic and busy recently, so I decided to treat myself!

First stop, Clicks: I finally got my hands on the Loreal Nude Magique Blur
The NYX blush, as well as this amazing lip set!

Next stop, Dischem: These Revlon Shimmer Bricks are amazing, so I couldn't choose only one!
LA 3D Effects polishes, I have been waiting so long for these, I got them all!
Essence powder brush and blush brush.
And the LA Gold Stud nail kit.

Final Wedgeday and Great Bargain Update!

Hi Ladies

This is my final wedge in my collection of shoes!

I bought these about three years ago, but have not worn them yet. They are surprisingly comfortable, I find heelless wedges usually are quite stable.

Wedgeday ended perfectly, with it nearly being spring, so I can start Shoesday next week.

P.S. A great bargain update, find out how you can get this set free HERE

Have a lovely rest of the week!

Mani Monday with Catrice and Negative Spaces!

Happy Mani Monday Ladies

For today's mani I am using Catrice in "Get the Blues", which is a combination of blue, green and purple somehow, and looks different in every angle. It was a dream to apply, just two coats and it was perfectly smooth. It lasted about 5 days, and I was really impressed with it.

I used striping tape on my accent nail to do a negative space look. I have seen so many ways to do negative space designs, and I really am a fan of them. I will definitely be doing more of them in the future.

Have a good week ladies!

Wedgeday with ASOS!

This is my second last wedge, unless I buy more or have forgotten some along the way.

I bought it online from ASOS a while ago, during one of their amazing sales. I haven't worn it yet, but it is super comfy, and I love the sophisticated look that the pointy toe gives. ASOS sales are definitely worth checking out, they offer free shipping, and even with customs charges it is still a bargain.

Happy Wedgeday!

July Favourites!

I know I am slightly late with this... But here are my July Favourites!

First up Regenceutic, I was struggling to get rid of a dry patch of skin on my cheek, and nothing was helping, until I started applying Regenceutic twice a day. In a couple of days the patch was nowhere to be seen! I received this product after going for my heavenly milk peel from Dermaceutic, which you can read about HERE. This is definitely a brand to try out!

Next up is the Catrice Photo Finish Foundation, this exceeded all expectations! I love it, the finish is dewy and radiant which I love, with good coverage and a lovely scent, which somehow reminds me of my childhood, but I cannot place it.

Bloom Cream Blush Duo is next on my list. I love cream highlighters and blushes especially in winter. The blush gives a flushed healthy look, and the highlighter is not too shimmery and just catches the light perfectly.

Next up is my favourite concealor by Stila, the brightening one, which works great to disguise dark circles under my eyes as well as brighten my face. I use it up to my cheek bones, which also helps with highlighting and contouring.

Oxygenetix is the best foundation ever, it is breathable and healthy for your skin. I received this after my milk peel too, which you can read about more HERE.

Catrice Absolute Nude Palette is a highly pigmented selection of nude shadows, and is great. You can do a really amazing smokey eye with this palette.

And last but definitely not least is the fragrance free lip balm from Balm Balm. What I love most about this balm is that it is not exclusively for lips, you can use it on your face, elbows, or any other dry part of your body. Balm Balm is a great brand, and I love their products.

Have you tried any of these products?

Mani Monday with Nails Inc!

For today's mani I used Nails Inc Foil in Kings Road.

I used two coats of this, and it applied quite well. I don't like the colour on its own, so I decided to do some random designs on them.

I used the Essence White Tip Polish, which comes with a very thin brush, and a Seventeen black nail pen. The Seventeen pen isn't really a pen, it is just a polish with a thin brush like the Essence one.

Have a good week Ladies!

Fancying Friday from Stila

Happy Friday Ladies!

So, we all know I love Stila! I find their products amazing, great quality, yet more affordable than other high end products.

So, I have put together a little Stila wishlist. These products aren't available in SA yet, as far as I know, although the Shimmer Duo might be. If you know where I can find one, please do let me know!

I am hoping we get these cute lip and blush palettes soon. And how perfect is the BB trio, where you can try out all three of their famous BB creams in little mini sizes! And who doesn't love some Stila brushes! I love the Shimmer Duo in Kitten so much, so I had to put two photos! I am hoping at least by Christmas that we get most of these here!

And just to show you my love for Stila, here is most of my lip glaze collection. I couldn't find my Cranberry and Mango. If you have never tried the lip glazes, do yourself a favour and get one!

Have a good weekend Ladies!

Casual Wedge Sneakers!

Happy Wedgeday Ladies!

Today's wedge is a casual one, the wedge sneaker!

These are from Plum, and are a lovely royal blue.

They look quite good with my animal print onesie don't you think? :)

I think I only have two wedges left, so Wedgeday will then stop, and I will do Shoesday!

Work has been consuming me recently, so posts have been short and sweet, and late, but hopefully things will get back to normal soon.

Manicure Monday- Black and Gold

Who doesn't love the black and gold combo?

For this mani I used Essence in "Black is Black"
Revlon in "Gold Coin"
and Revolution in "Emerald"

I love this Essence shade, however, I find it didn't last that long, three days, with a top coat. The colour is great though, super glossy and black.

Gold coin is my staple gold that I end up using as a base for glitters, and just on it's own. I used gold coin underneath Emerald, and I used it alone for the chevron. It lasts really long, and is one of my favourites!

The name Emerald confuses me slightly, since the colour is gold, not green. It is slightly textured, and quite opaque. I only used one coat, since I used gold coin as a base. But I could use two coats of Emerald with no base coat and it would work perfectly. This lasted longer than the Essence, by a day.

Have a good week ladies!

Fancying Friday with New Essence Products!

Effect Eyeshadow

Liquid effects! Now you can conjure-up metallic, holographic or sparkling effects on your eyelids in liquid form. The long-lasting, non-sticky eyeshadows are available in six different colors with different effects: metallic bronze, shimmering beige, shiny rosé-gold, bright apricot, sparkling taupe and holographic green-gold. These sound awesome! I hope we get this here in SA, I would love to try the neutral shades, apricot and green-gold, no thanks. Sorry... Not sorry!

Soo Blush!

Cream to powder blush, this new blush gives your complexion a touch of color for a healthy, fresh look. The creamy texture with a powdery finish practically melts with your skin and is easy to apply and blend with your fingers. Warm pink and fresh apricot are sure to fulfill all wishes. Wish we had these for winter! I love cream blushes for winter, it gives such a lovely glow. These sound promising, hope they live up to my expectations, they are high I might add!

Say NO to Redness/Imperfections/Dark circles – Colour Correcting Concealer.

Say YES – to a flawless complexion! The three new “say NO to…” mini pencils are the perfect solution for any skin problem. The green “say NO to redness” pencil neutralizes redness. “Say NO to dark circles” in rosé covers dark circles under your eyes and the beige pencil “say NO to imperfections” reliably conceals impurities. The soft, powdery texture optimally aligns with every skin type and is easy to blend. How cute are these! I wish there were highlighters like this too!

Nail Art Shake Me! I’m Pretty Top Coat!

Shake it! The name of this top coat says it all. Simply shake the bottle to mix the cool holographic glitter particles with the texture. Apply the top coat over any nail polish for an extra portion of bling. Sounds interesting, I would need to swatch this before I get it, but it sounds pretty cool!

Nail Art Hello Foils! Transfer Solution and Foils

Fabulous foils! These nail foils bring cool graffiti styles straight to your nails in the most fashionable effects – holographic, metallic and glittering. And here’s how it works: apply the transfer solution on your nails and wait for 80-90 seconds. Separate a piece of the foil and press it onto your nail with the shiny side up. Remove the foil again and seal with a top coat – and you’re done! I really want to try this... Although I really wanted to try the paper print, and so I bought, and have never used it... Sigh! But I am still eager!

Nail Art Thermo Nail Polish

This nail polish reacts to outside temperature changes and changes color accordingly: purple-pink turns into light pink, dark red into light red, dark mint green to light mint green and beige to light apricot. And the color-change works the other way around, too. These are similiar to Ruby Wing colour changing polishes, but probably less than half the price. I wish the colour changes were a bit more drastic, but I am interested in trying it nevertheless.

And there you have it! Happy Friday Ladies
