Shoesday Golden Spikes!

Hi Ladies!

Today's shoe is from Legit, and was part of a collaboration with Toya Delazy. I love Legit's shoes, especially ones from collaborations. I recently bought two pairs from the Nandi Mngoma collection, which you should definitely check out in stores now!

This shoe is surprisingly comfortable, and has some sort of super cushioning inside which makes it even better! I love shoes with spikes, toe caps and sparkles, so this definitely checks all those boxes!

What do you think ladies?

Fight Night Mani and A Great Bargain Update

Happy Monday Ladies!

If you watch boxing, or if you have a boyfriend who is an avid boxing fan, you will already know what this mani stands for. If not, there was a fight on Sunday morning between Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri. Manny Pacquiao is from the Philippines, hence my attempt at the flag. I am happy to announce that Manny won!

Back to the nail details...

I used Sinful 'Snow Me White', Nails Inc 'Baker Street' and Nicole by OPI 'Kourt is Ready for a Pedi'

Snow me While is my go to white polish, streak free, glossy and mess free.

Baker Steet is a stunning glossy blue polish, and one of Nails Inc hero shades! It applies well in two coats, and really is a hero, and a blue I recommend everyone to add to their collection.

Kourt is Ready for a Pedi is a glossy red, but unfortunately is still slightly sheer after two coats. I don't really like polishes that I have to apply more than two coats, what a mission. It is a stunning red though, and is part of the Kardashian Collection.

My newest make up organiser which also happened to be a bargain!

Essence- Like An Unforgettable Kiss- Preview

Hi Ladies

I have another launch from Essence for you today. This is only going to be available around February next year, which means December, in SA... Haha, okay, let's hope not!

First up– Duo Blush (Too Faced Much?)

Twosome… The duo blush gives your face a gorgeous touch of color thanks to the two perfectly aligned shades with a high pigmentation. A combination of light apricot and vibrant peach or rosé and pink ensures fresh, rosy cheeks. And the cute heart-shaped packaging is an adorable eye-catcher, too. Available in 01 nothing but lovestoned and 02 pink me.

How similiar is it to the Too Faced Blush?

Blush Brush (How cute is the little purple heart?)

True love! The blush brush made of fine synthetic bristles in pink has a slanted shape that makes it especially easy to capture, distribute and blend powder. The purple heart at the middle gives this brush a totally unique look! Available in 01 dear valentine!

I cannot wait for these to be in store!

Shop My Stash- Glosses!

Hi Ladies

Today on Shop My Stash I have three beauties that aren't available in SA, and they are all for sale!

First up, Tanya Burr Glosses in 'First Date' and 'Just Peachy' I love the formula of these glosses, but unfortunately the colours just dont' work for me.

Next up, Benefit Ultra Shines Gloss in 'Life on the A List' I like this gloss, but I don't see myself using it very often. It has a slight shimmer which I love!

Anyways, all three of these will be for sale for R70 each over HERE, they have been used a couple of times.

Shoesday- Grey in Spring and a haul!

Happy Shoesday Ladies!

These peep-toe boots are from Mr Price, they are quite old though, like maybe 4 years old, and I love them!

You can fold the flap up if you like, but I prefer it down to see the pretty flower design. They are not that high, and are really comfortable. I sometimes find peeptoes can hurt my big toe a bit on the side, but these don't at all. Unfortunately the weather is not conducive to good photos with it being dark all the time, so please forgive the bad lighting.

These are perfect with a pair of skinny jeans all year round!

Now for my haul!

Remember the Essence and Catrice preview post I did HERE. Well, I finally managed to find most of the products, as well as some others along the way! I am still after the blush and some other products though.

I went into Dischem to browse, and I left with this! I am supposed to be saving for our overseas trip  and Sephora next month, sigh!

Anyhow, here are my picks!

Catrice Luxury Lacquers, definitely worth it! I will show you a mani using them soon!
Catrice Tinted Lip Glow Balm, cannot wait to give this a try!
Catrice Ombre Top Coat, how cool is this?
Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoothers, reminds me a bit of the Clarins Lip Perfectors.
Catrice Lash and Brow Gel
Catrice Lash Extension Mascara
Catrice 3in1 adapting makeup
Physicians Formula Nude Wear Blush, I couldn't decide on which shade to get, so I got both :)
And lastly, a Rimmel eyeshadow

See you tomorrow ladies for Shop My Stash!

Mani Monday and Boho Marks!

A while ago I was sent these stunning metallic tattoos in Saltspring and Gambier from Boho Marks to review. I finally got down to using them, and I love them! I paired them with Essie Licorice, a perfect jet black glossy polish! I love the way it turned out.

They are pretty easy to use. I cut a strip of the design I wanted, and I then cut those into three pieces, and got a bracelet and two rings :) I also used an arrow, but I didn't place it in the center of my ring finger, so it looks a bit off.

Once you have cut the design, you remove the plastic, and apply the design onto your skin. What I really love is that the design sticks to your skin, so once you have placed it, it stays where you want it to stay until the next step. You then add some water to dampen the back of the tattoo, wait 30 seconds and then remove. I found that once you can see the design through the back of the paper, it is transferred and you can remove the paper. You can also feel it sort of slide off your skin when it is ready.

I love that from one strip I got three pieces that I could use as a bracelet and two rings. This obviously depends on the size of your wrists, and what look you want to achieve.

The tattoos are expected to last 4-6 days, depending on where you put it and how often you shower and apply cream. Unfortunately for me, I am obsessed with hand cream, and I apply it every time I wash my hands. So, this only lasted a day and a half on me, it lasted through countless hand washes, but a shower was the end of it. I suggest you apply this just before your event to avoid disappointment. I also think that if you apply it to a less 'busy' body part it is likely to last the 4-6 days. I will try that and report back.

Shop My Stash!

Today on Shop My Stash I have two products from The Body Shop, and one from The Balm.

First up, the Honey Bronze Bronzing Face Gel, I really thought I would love this, but it just doesn't work for me. I already have a tanned skin tone, so no need to add this to my face too. The formula is great, no surprise, it is from The Body Shop after all. I used this once, and I will be selling it for R80 on my blogsale.

Next up, The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Dome. I love this, but I don't think I will use it that often. It is a creamy formula, and blends really well on cheeks for a healthy radiant glow, or as a dewy highlighter. This is the more peach colour of the two that were available. This will be on my blogsale for R50.

Lastly, Hot Mama by The Balm. I am loving this blush, it is not a very bright blush, but is perfect for a slight colour wash on the cheeks. This is apparently a dupe for the famous NARS Orgasm. I haven't tried that, so I cannot comment on it. It gives a slight peachy pink illuminating glow to the skin.

And that is that for this week ladies!

Shoesday!

Let me get complaining about the weather out of the way first...

I do not like rain, unless I am curled up with popcorn, a movie, a blanket and my boyfriend, which is sadly not the case.

Summer, where art thou?

Anywhooo, back to shoes!

I bought these a while ago from Legit, it was part of the Toya Delazy collection. Who doesn't love some black leather and studs?

Because the strap of this heel is not too high on the ankle, it works well with a dress as well as jeans. I find some strappy heels can cut off the ankle, making my already short legs look shorter! This is quite comfortable, I have worn it a couple of times, and it can be used all year round, which is great, since the weather is currently a bit confused!

Remember to check out Shop My Stash tomorrow, I have some goodies from The Balm and The Body Shop!

MAC Heirloom Mix Launch!

Strike an heir of sophistication this holiday season with royally rich colour that exudes an aristocratic allure. The modern woman mixes up an irreverent take on tradition with this collection of hues that casts the classic cameo in a contemporary, glittering light. A regal, romantic and daring affair, this holiday is all about colour that leaves a legacy.

Another stunning new collection from MAC is now available with a collection of nail polish, pressed pigment, glitter, fluidline, eye pencil, lipstick, lipgloss and mineralize blush!

Here are a few of my favourite picks!

Fluidline in Dark Majesty

 Heirloom Mix Fluidline

A gel formula that provides the precision of a liquid liner with a silkier, softer finish. Goes on “foolproof” with a brush in an easy dip-and-stroke action. Long-wearing. Smudge-proof. Lines up in a rich array of colours and finishes. Brush sold separately. Decadently encased in limited-edition refined black packaging collaged with silver sparkles.

Kohl Power Eye Pencil

Heirloom Mix Kohl Power Eye Pencil

A kohl pencil with the intensity and colour power of ultra-soft carbon. Specially formulated to provide deep, fully opaque coverage, provides an intense, smoked finish with duo-chrome pearl. Versatile in application: blend or smudge. Encased in limited-edition black packaging flecked with silver sparkles.

Mineralize Blush in Modest Blush

 Heirloom Mix Mineralize Blush

Mineralize Blush in Sweet Sentiment

 Heirloom Mix Mineralize Blush

Baked minerals refined into a powder blush formula to provide exceptionally sheer and lightweight application. Colour builds lightly, layer after layer, without heavy coverage. Enhances cheekbones with a luminous, pearlized shimmer. Encased in limited-edition black packaging flecked with silver sparkles.

Good To Grape

Happy Monday Ladies

I have had this Sally Hansen polish in Good to Grape for a while, and decided to use it for today's mani.

It is a stunning purple that applies smooth and is highly pigmented. The brush is quite broad, so you can apply evenly in just two strokes. Two coats of this gives a perfect glossy finish.

I paired it with Essence Petal to the Metal which is part of the new Metal Glam Range which is now available in store. Once again this applies really well, and is a stunning metallic colour with a tinge of purple.

October Favourites!

Hi Ladies

I have finally gotten down to my October Favourites Post!

First up, Dirty Works Detox Mask, I love this mask, it makes a visible difference to your skin. I use it twice a week, leave it on for the required time, and then wipe it off with a warm flannel clothing. My skin looks clearer and fresher immediately.

Max Factor Skin Illimunizer Foundation, this foundation is perfect for a subtle radiant glow. The coverage is quite good, and it is long lasting too. It is a luminous medium coverage, so if you like matte foundation, this is not for you.

Sorbet BB Cream, wow, how did it take me so long to try this! When I swatched this in store it looked a bit ashy and grey, so I didn't get it. I then caved a couple of months later and got it, and I am so glad I did! The coverage is medium and dewy and just perfect.

Benefit Moisture Prep Toner, I am loving this toner. I find the rest of the range a bit too rich for my skin, but this is perfect. It doesn't strip the face and dry it out, but rather moisturises as it tones.

Stila Set and Illuminate Powder, amazing subtle illuminating powder. It gives skin an illuminating glow, while also setting your makeup. It has a highlighting but mattifying effect which I love. Great for hot summer days, to make sure your makeup stays put and doesn't melt away.

Stila One Step Illuminate, is a great primer for brightening the skin. Quite comparable to Benefit's That Gal. It also works well on its own if you are just looking for subtle illumination without much coverage.

Lastly, I bought this Clarins BB Cream quite a while ago and only recently started using it. The coverage is quite good, and it feels so smooth and luxurious on the skin. It is my favourite BB for night time. I must add I just love the scent! Once again, radiant finish, my favourite!

As you can probably see from this post is my look this summer is radiant, glowing and illuminating!

Tomorrow is Friday Ladies!

Shop My Stash- Benefit

Hi Ladies

For today's Shop My Stash I have a collection of Benefit minis that I bought at Sephora in Singapore for about R280 each. I love minis to try out products before committing to a full size.

The first trio had Cha Cha Tint, Posie Tint and Sun Beam.

I find the two tints don't show up too much when used on my cheeks, but I do love using them on my lips. They are a creamier stain than others I have tried, and less drying, which I love.

Sun Beam is a stunning highlighter, it gives a golden glow to cheek bones, and I have been using it quite often for a fresh and dewy summer look.

The next trio had Porefessional, That Gal and Girl Meets Pearl. I love the name of these products, how fitting?

Porefessional has been on my radar for a while, and I have only heard great things about it. Unfortunately it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I find products that we find locally such as The Body Shop- Instablur HERE and Loreal Revitalift Magic Blur work much better, and are much cheaper.

That Gal is a brightening primer, it does a really good job of brightening the skin, while preparing it for BB or foundation.

Lastly, Girl Meets Pearl, I love this! I put this on my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, middle of my forehead, chin and above the cupids bow for a pearly glow. Great as a highlighter for summer!

I am keeping all of these this week ladies, but there are still some awesome products on my blog sale HERE

I am trying out products from The Balm and The Body Shop this week, so check back next week to see another edition of Shop My Stash!

Peeping and Tanned

Happy Shoesday Ladies!

Once again JHB weather is playing tricks with my outfit choices. The fact that I still have not packed away my winter clothes and shoes tells all!

These peeptoe booties are from Legit, a couple of years ago. They are quite high, and I have only worn them once, and I had actually forgotten about them... But now I remember, and will hopefully get some wear out of them before the blistering summer comes around.

Also, today is a big day in Islam, and so I got gifts from the BF, yay! :)

How cute are these little Nutella bottles, and this perfume smells amazing!

Happy Happy Ladies!

Frosty and Blue this Monday

Happy Monday Ladies

For today's mani I used two OPI liquid sand polishes, this was the first time I used liquid sand polish, and I am really impressed. They are sparkly textured polishes and these are from a Mariah Carey Mini Set, which contains three mini liquid sand polishes.

I used 'Kiss Me At Midnight' and 'Frosty Outside', which is the blue and white respectively. They dry really quickly, and I especially love the white one. It looks like my nails has been dipped in crushed diamonds. The polish has a rough feel to it, but that doesn't both me at all.

For my ring finger I used Sparitual 'Looking Glass' as a base, and once it had completely dried I used striping tape in various designs. I then painted 'Kiss Me At Midnight' over, waited a bit, and slowly peeled off the striping tape.

Have a good week ladies!
